When you are thinking about traveling and looking into your dream vacation, what is the biggest cost in your budget? It’s the flight right! More than any other part of your trip the flight will eat into your bank account fast. That’s where using airline miles can really help you cut down on the cost of your flight. With airlines giving out so many free miles you’d be a fool not to take advantage. The problem, for people in debt like us, is that most of these miles come in the form of credit card sign-up bonuses. Unfortunately if you have bad credit, or even no credit at all, you wont be qualifying for any of these credit cards any time soon. Luckily for you I have made it my mission to find ways to earn miles without ever signing up for a credit card so you can fly for free too.
Just about every major airline has a shopping portal you can earn airline miles through. Basically when you shop online at your favorite retailers you get paid miles for every dollar you spend. All you have to do is log in to your airline miles program. First head over to their shopping portal and start earning miles. You probably already shop online anyway you might as well earn something back from it. I typically do all of my holiday shopping through these shopping portals and come away with a hefty haul of miles for doing something I was going to do anyway.
Much like shopping portals airlines partner up with different restaurants to offer out airline miles. If you are planning on going out to eat pick one of these restaurants and you can earn points towards your free trips. You probably go out to eat a few times a month anyway so why not get even more than just a satisfying meal out of the deal.
If you are going on a trip there is a good chance that you are going to rent a car to get around while you are away. Renting a car and filling it up with gas can be pretty expensive so offset some of that cost with some airline miles to use towards your next trip. Some of the biggest names in rental cars partner up with airlines like Herts, Avis, and others.
After your flight hotels are usually the second most expensive part of your trip. I try to avoid hotels most of the time since there are plenty of cheaper options for a place to sleep. But some of the time it can be nice to splurge a bitand get a nice hotel room during your trip. Many hotels partner up with airlines and even allow you to book a room right along with your flight. If you use one of the airlines partner hotels for your trip you can earn some extra airline miles for your account.
SURVEYS AND SPECIAL OFFERS
If you are like me you have tried everything you can to make extra money to fund your trips and have probably tried surveys and paid e-mail sites. If you have you probably realized that survey sites pay next to nothing. Luckily if you use survey sights and special offer sights that have partnered with airlines the pay-outs are much more profitable.
E-rewards.com: This is my favorite survey site to earn miles from. It is by invitation only so you will have to sign up for a miles program first like Southwest Rapid Rewards then head over to their partners site. My favorite part of E-rewards is that even if you don’t qualify for the survey you are still credited $.25 per survey.
E-miles.com: E-miles is another invitation only site but it has a few more partners you can sign up through like; American Airlines AAdvantage, United MileagePlus, and Southwest Rapid Rewards.
OpinionRewardsClub.com: While I don’t have much experience with this it is basically just a normal survey site. All you have to do is fill out surveys to earn rewards points. The downside is that the site is only for Flying Blue airlines so you will have to sign up with them first.
FLYING: This might seem like a no brainer but flying is the best way to earn miles without a credit card. The best way to earn miles is to sign up with one preferred airline mile and fly with them every chance you get. Although if you are looking for the best price on flights, and plan on flying often, it may be better to sign up for as many airline miles programs as you can. Just make sure you don’t forget to enter you miles number when you are booking a flight.
